About MeAfter finishing up a degree in the study of Ancient Civilisations & Visual and Art History (from the Greeks to the Romans, some rambling tales by Homer and Plato, and many essays debating whether Wofflin, Berenson, Bell or Fry held more clout) I enrolled in a Bachelors in Fashion Design. Here I learnt skills in flat-pattern making, and garment construction, and all sorts of fancy computer-programs. And though (so my portfolio might whisper) I have an eye for trends and fashion, my passion lies in the Avant Garde and Costume- a field which merges my love of research and conceptual thought with cunning resourcefulness, inventive refabrications, and the development and creation of a character that tells a visual story, from hidden insignia to cross-cultured references, and has the ability to stir up a melancholic delight or a stomach-churning fear.
